According to AMI (Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft), the German flower and plant industry has grown 5.2% in the first 9 months of last year notwithstanding the pandemics, reaching a sales value of 9.4 billion Euro.
AMI registered an increase in the expense of consumers, reaching 114 € per person, both as regards specialised retailers and great distribution channels.
In 2020 the data regarding garden plants and cut flowers have increased of 6.6% and 2.8% respectively, when compared to 2019, a year in which there had also been an increase in sales of 3.1% over the previous year.
